Spring is here and so is festival season! We are so excited about welcoming you to Moose Jaw for our 70th Annual celebrations, including the return of Moosic in the Park!
I am sure your “to-do” list is already as long as mine, but here are a few reminders to help you prepare for your festival experience:
Be sure to check the various pages of our website for the performance schedule, director’s information and to read the bios of our fabulous slate of clinicians and night show performers. Tickets are available for the night shows at $5 each. It’s a different show every night and not exclusive to festival participants, so invite all of your Moose Jaw friends to join you.
If you’re in town on Tuesday or Wednesday, bring your lunch down to Moosic in the Park at the Crescent Park amphitheatre to enjoy free performances by some of our participating bands between 11:00-2:00 pm.
Plan to attend one or more of our “roundtable discussions” for band and choral directors. This is your opportunity to chat with our fabulous clinicians and pick their brains on a variety of issues related to music education. RSVP by May 1 appreciated but walk-ins welcomed.
Order your scores (2 copies of each selection) for the clinicians and ensure there are measure numbers in the scores.
Take note of the equipment provided at your performance venue(s) and submit any special requests by April 24.
If you are already planning ahead to next year, note that the festival dates will be May 12-15, 2020. Online registration will open in September.
See you in Moose Jaw in May! All the cool kids will be here.
